Cruise control limiting speed to 66mph, why?

When using cruise control the speed just wont go above 66mph, when its off i can go faster.
i have set a speed limit of 72mph for the car. is this influencing it?

Is 66mph too fast for it being treated as a 'restricted road'? iirc have 40mph in my head for restricted road limit but can't be bothered to look in the manual

the car limit is on 72mph, but the offset is on 0.

i've increased the offset to 6mph. see if it goes to 70mph on my next m1 run.

i noticed that sometimes you have TV influenced limit on speed even the car which was head and limited speed long gone.

also, if Ap enabled (Autosteer) then it will stick to speed limit on single carriage roads
