What do you guys think of this article? Of Course no mention of subsidies to oil industry. Obviously the source has an agenda, but would like to point out the fallacies

That is a long article - I couldn't make it the whole way through. Most of the complaints are about the complexity of CAFE legislation. With a smattering of climate change denial and strapping the poor consumer with poor choices and higher costs to subsidize better fuel economy.

CAFE has been somewhat good and somewhat bad overall. The bad being the encouragement of Trucks and SUVs. The law is a good lesson in unintended consequences and how government is not really up to the task of regulation. We have slipped too far in balance to the power of money/profit/corporations that government is somewhat unmatched.

Its largely about implicit subsidies and it also assumes every EV gets the full tax credit despite the restrictions including income. There are implicit subsidies to ICE that are ignored
