Changing large drive unit help needed

Hei im about to change drive unit on my 2013 s85 signature.
I have some questions about the swap.
Im mechanic so mechanical work is not the issue here. But regarding the electrical part.
Repair me if im wrong.
First i need to disconnect 12v ground
Then fireman loop
Then i can swap the du.
And reverse the work.
But after i have installed new drive unit from another car do i need to code it to work with the car?
Does simple software re install from cars menu is enough?
I have tried to find answers here in the forum for many hours but i cant.
Any advice is appreciated

I successfully changed base drive unit to performance whole process took 12hours together with coding it to the car big thanks for user “layz” who made it happen!!
It was struggle to remove power cabels cause lot of corrosion between the connectors and inverter body.
Took apart old base unit and saw that differential distance shims are missing and everything has a proper slack.
I wonder why it has destroyed the shims…
Rest of the unit is in good shape. Maybe i can find new shims or differential to get it fixed.

The Performance was much more than the large drive unit, I think. Didn't it also included upgraded suspension and brakes?
P85+ has stiffer suspension my dad has this car.
Performance has just p drive unit and interior. I think..
Actually brakes are the same on p85+ and base s85. At least our cars are the same.
Both 2013 signatures.
And i checked my dads p85+ and i cant see any signs of it in the car displays either.
Only in the app is shows p85+
And at the trunk afcourse
P85+ has some covers on the door sills
Rustfree metal. What i dont have. And seats are a little different design.
