Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
You do know that Tesla's are just like any other car right?
Get your bucket, soap and water and a little scrubby pad thing and wash them off just like any other car.

Yep, I do have a microfiber mitt (not the one that you actually put your hand in, but the one that you just sort of rub on the paint), bug remover, and chamois, but I'm not sure if the paint or clear coat have been damaged. I guess I won't know until I actually try!
Good warning. What about a microfiber mitt? I have the one that you don't actually insert your hand into, but you just sort of scrub it around and your hand always stays on top of the mitt

Ahh, you have to be specific. I thought you meant like a scrubbing pad you would use on your dishes.
But in any case the method with least friction and least abrasiveness is preferable for car paint. Depends how particular you are about your paint though I guess.
A clay bar, now thats rarely used on this forum. If you have that you have
other solvents that will make this a 2 minute job. I'm guessing there is not
many that know what that is or have ever used one.
Bugs actually do damage if left on the car too long. I immediately spray (detail spray or ONR) them off everyday...kinda a pain but takes only a min and makes the face look fresh
I’ve been using this on my plane since 2004 and an airplane has a lot of bug collecting forward facing surface. Bugs kind of melt off after spraying and waiting a minute or two. Does a very good job of keeping the paint looking new too.
