Has anyone replaced the brake pads on their model X and *not* replaced the rotors?
My front pads need replacing and tesla (without seeing the car) have quoted for rotor replacement as well. Looking at the different forums there is talk of rotor warping, but mine seem fine, surface is smooth and there is no shudder under braking. Thinking of requesting no rotor replacement when car goes in next week. My experience with other cars is that rotors only get replaced when there is an issue, scoring, or underweight (for ceramics). Has anyone just done pads? (Car has now done 125k kms, and this is first pad change).
