Battery Fuse Replacement

I just had my battery fuse repalced in my Model S this morning 2 Feb. 24. It was covered. Nothing out of my pocket.

Just open a service ticket in the app. If you're getting the replace fuse message on your car screen it should display the same alert in the service menu. I just replace mine under warranty 2 weeks ago. Took about 45 minutes.

Drove in with an appointment and the service guy said to just wait in the lobby because they get it replaced really quick. Was out of there in 45 minutes.

Unless you have a P85D then it will take hours since they have to drop the main pack.

Here in Toronto, my 2016 Model S 75D has 131,000 km (81,400 miles) and another 10 months left in the battery warranty. Dealership says they will replace the battery fuse for free while I wait.

Good thing, because my extended warranty just ended a few days ago. and

The app will tell you if you have a battery and drive unit warranty remaining. Just scroll to the bottom and hit Specs and Warranty.
