This seems to all be happening very recently (not that there were not any other issues previously, but this seems to be a sudden increase in incidents of charging problems. Could the new software have a bug? We know it was likely rushed out and I wonder if they have created a bigger issue than they fixed?
More likely the new software just shows up any problems in the charging path, so there just appear to be more. If there was bad wiring it would always have been there but not necessarily noticed unless it was so bad that the UMC went red. Also folks are more aware of what to look for so more are found. Both are probably a good thing.
