The chargers can be seen in the centre of that bottom pic - look for the blue paint, and glass canopies.@moa999 Where would they locate the chargers?
I always stop there rather than the Zoo at Exeter Maccas.
Agree, and too easy to get ICED. Though I hope its in line of sight of the staff inside the shop - not that they are likely to do anythingthey are probably in too good a position.
The cables are very long. Just double-park the ICEr in, plug in, and go inside & do your thing. Sometimes two wrongs make a right.Agree, and too easy to get ICED. Though I hope its in line of sight of the staff inside the shop - not that they are likely to do anything
Tonight on Seven News:The cables are very long. Just double-park the ICEr in, plug in, and go inside & do your thing. Sometimes two wrongs make a right.
Photo on FB by AttCall Civil showing the changes at Ampol Pheasants Nest Southbound.
(The old station is centred on the top pic, and too the right on the bottom)
The site plans...Ah - I didn’t realise they built a completely new servo there. That means the motorway underpass comes out opposite the exit of the old station (off the right of the second photo). So I now understand the hesitation in driving ‘against the grain’ to enter the new servo.
I'd rather take a photo and submit to the council via Snap, Send, Solve and get them finedThe cables are very long. Just double-park the ICEr in, plug in, and go inside & do your thing. Sometimes two wrongs make a right.
Doesn't work on private property.I'd rather take a photo and submit to the council via Snap, Send, Solve and get them fined
Technically the road rules do apply - but as to whether council rangers have the authority to enforce the road rules and issue infringements is another thing.Doesn't work on private property.
Police and rangers do not have power to write infringement notices to illegally parked vehicles on private property. Police can only be involved if vehicle in question is parked in a way which block traffic or a danger.Technically the road rules do apply
I don't think this is the case.Police and rangers do not have power to write infringement notices to illegally parked vehicles on private property. Police can only be involved if vehicle in question is parked in a way which block traffic or a danger.
Thanks. Unlocked car not cars. Multiple news report of 1 unlocked car. There's enough news reports of police fining unlocked cars at service stations
The cops can, but usually have higher priorities on their time than enforcing parking restrictions.I have yet to see council rangers patrolling shopping centre car parks for people illegally parked in disabled car parks
Not sure why you think it doesn't add up - if you break Road Rule 213 (eg a service station forecourt), then Police can enforce the road rules.Thanks. Unlocked car not cars. Multiple news report of 1 unlocked car.
The story also does not add up. I suspect the police had him in their sights before he got into servo if the one minute buying a pie is to be believed.
Only in every other state other than NSW - it's just legislation that needs to be updated to go with the times (I'm sure when Road Rule 300 was created there was no such thing as Google Pay, or barcodes for parking stations). But technically Police can enforce Road Rule 300 if you get your phone out to pay at the KFC drive through, or leaving a paid carpark.Using mobile phone with engine running and transmission in D is considered unsafe

And as I understand most councils charge for this service (and keep the fines) while the car park operator cops the abuse, so there's limited incentive for the private owner.Council rangers won't unless they have a private parking agreement with the owner of the car park.
And similarly for strata building parkingmost councils charge for this service
No that's not necessary. I do enough driving and parking to notice these things, and I've never seen rangers on private propertyYou need to join more local Facebook group
It does not add up because the bloke said he was inside for 1 minute and came out and the police at already blocked him in. Seems to me he attracted the cops attention before he got to the servo. Not sure why you think it doesn't add up
