Selling my 2021 Model S Plaid. I took delivery 12/2021 and have since tinted the windows and had full Ceramic coating done. Black exterior with black/ carbon fiber interior. 21” Arachnid wheels. Car is beautiful, in immaculate shape w/ very low mileage. Garage kept and I’m the original owner.

We are purchasing a home so I decided to explore options to sell. Full disclosure; before I purchased the car, Tesla informed me the rear bumper needed to be “repaired” due to minor cosmetic damage that occurred during transport but I was assured car was fixed and in perfect brand new condition. However when pricing out options to sell the car this week, I was surprised to learn the damage appeared on a Carfax report. To be clear, this was at the factory and before delivery of this vehicle which was sold as NEW with 45 miles. The car has never been in any accidents, is mint, but I want to be up front w/ what will show on Carfax. 130k OBO

Ouch. Sorry to hear about the Carfax issue. Perhaps you can try disputing it. Regardless of your explanation, the Carfax report will have a negative impact on the resale value.

Tesla should be able to get it removed.
