Nice car, and great price.

What do you think caused the flaking of the paint on the wheels? I have only seen that on very old wheels for cars that live outside all day, so I am wondering if my wheels are going to do that too even though I am very kind to them and the car is always garaged.

Light curb rash was fixed and the paint did not settle. Would just need to be resprayed

That’s classic prep related clear-coat failure. When a wheel is repaired if the guy repairing only preps and paints a small area but then clears a larger area without proper scuffing the non repaired surface the clear will eventually peel. It’s a pain because all the new clear on the wheel needs to be sanded back off and then redone again or else any new repair over the incorrectly prepped area will continue to peel. It’s time consuming to thoroughly sand the wheel properly and pricing is very competitive while a proper job and a quick job look exactly the same until one fails. It is far easier to do it right the first time.
