Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
I just got 2020.8.3 as well, and had 2020.4.1 before. I see all these 2020.12 versions... it's the first time I am not getting the latest available version. I wonder if Tesla has changed its method of propagating builds. Normally I was only getting a version when ~6000 people on TeslaFi had it already. Currently the user base on teslaFi is all fragmented. Weird.
I just got the notification about this as well. Previously on 2020.4.1. 2020 M3 SR+ picked up on March 13. Previously a demo/test drive car. First update for me. Updating now, will post release notes when I get to the car.
What's New in This Update
-Third Part Charging Stations (selected sites in SF Bay Area available on in-car navigation, more sites nationwide coming soon)
-Bluetooth Improvement (only connects after sitting in driver seat, this was mentioned on other 2020.8 updates)
-Improved Voice Command Reliability (including in areas with poor connectivity)
This release contains minor improvements and bug fixes
Just updated from 2020.4.1 to 2020.8.3 as well. No issues with update, but did notice that the Navigation map looks like an old version and wasn’t updated as I expected. I think the current Map database is 2020.12-11866, but I show having 2019.20-10487. When/how does the Map update?
