I didn't catch the CL post before it was removed. Considering it was in the Bay Area section, is there any chance the post was for a legitimate corporate or private transportation fleet?

Doubtful, it had marketing images for pictures of the cars and some of the cars had European sized plates. Any legitimate fleet would be able to provide actual pictures of the cars.

Did you do it the right way? You can't send a professional inquiry from an e-mail address that looks like your name. It needs to be something like "[email protected]" asking "Hey d00d, those R k00l cars - u want 2 sell me 1 so I can take it to HS?"

Then you'll get the response.
