I’ve read a few posts about the best sunshade for the windshield, and covercraft seems to be very popular. Anyone know if the 2022 model Y windshield is the same as the 2021? Covercraft has a 2021 model but no 2022 one yet. Anyone with a 2022 model Y have a good recommendation? Thanks!

Ugh same thing happened to me. I stupidly believed the EDD timelines. Who are you using? My experience: I let it expire and did a new one when I got my vin. Unfortunately I think you’ll have to have your credit run again :(

I have no idea. But if I’ve learned anything from this forum, it’s to take anything a SA says with the largest grain of salt possible.

Update 2: scheduled my delivery appointment for today, my SA called me last night and said the car wasn’t ready so we moved it to Sunday morning. Just got off the phone with him and said the car STILL isn’t ready, re-rescheduled for Monday. His explanation: the car is waiting to be shipped out...

Fingers crossed this is just a mistake. Be weird asking you if you still want it after they’ve given you a VIN lol. Tesla: we just want to REALLY make sure you still want it.

FWIW, I did. It’s very unsettling to pay that much cash up front, but I didn’t want anything holding up my delivery. After I submitted payment, I had a delivery date the next morning.

You received a VIN… and then passed on it? You’re a bold one, that’s for sure. I couldn’t complete my pre delivery tasks fast enough! Hope you get the Ryzen and the wait is worth it. A 12.31 build may have had it, but who knows.

Well folks, day 140 today for me and I just Got an email with my VIN!!! Question to anyone who has been down this road before: app says my insurance has been accepted but I can’t do any payments yet. Think it’s ok to get the loan going now?

And no changes since entering the window this time? I have to say, 154 days is really, really wild. Anyone waiting longer? I’m sure if you had the option you’d gladly go to Fremont to get it!

Officially entered my EDD window for the first time today. This morning when I woke up it went from 1/5-2/3 to 1/6-1/15. So, progress? Maybe not after reading all these stories here lol. Cautious optimism is the name of the game!

I’m so excited for you. Imo, the AMD is worth the wait. Watching videos of the loading times of various apps, it blows the Atom out of the water. Not to mention it seems pretty future proof. Since your VIN is pretty new, there’s a good chance you’ll have it! Keep us updated!
