I took delivery on a busy day (last Friday of Sept). They were very accommodating when I asked to see the car before paying. I wouldn’t expect you have have any difficulty doing it.

My delivery date was 9/28. Temp tags expire today. As expected, the fedex was all my paperwork from Tesla. I'm heading to DMV tomorrow morning.

Got a FedEx text last night. Package from Littleton arriving today. Since it is from Littleton, I assume it is my paperwork. Would have been better if I had a week or two slack to go to DMV at my convenience.

Good idea. I should have thought of that sooner. Maybe I could have left a VM with the sales side (vehicle delivery still has a full VM box) and asked them to mail me one. Unfortunately it is a 60-90 minute one-way drive to the service center so it is easier to just go to local DMV.
