Supercharger - Duluth, GA - Peachtree Industrial Blvd (2220 Peachtree Industrial Blvd)

This site will not be relevant to road-tripping thru traffic. It's the latest in localized in-fill SC locations which I presume are intended for local apartment or similar residents who lack access to home charging.

    Supercharger - Suwanee, GA

Drives me insane when the posts are centered on the parking spots instead of being at the edge of the parking spots. Unnecessary pressure on the car's charging port. Cordele is this way as well...contractor's error in that case, I presume. I think in Suwanee it must have to do with the handicap...

Lost driver profile settings, FSDb, navigation settings, trips, etc. after scroll wheel reboot, cloud profile not showing back up in car

This happened to me last night. 2022.44.25.5. Was pushed 44.30.5 overnight. No help. I don't mind recreating all driver profiles and logins and homelinks, BUT I do mind losing my 5yr 112k mile "Lifetime" history information in my odometer. THAT bugs the hell out of me. Really need Tesla to spend...

    All driver profiles gone

This happened to me last night. So random. No similar issues in five years and 112k miles of use. Veerrrrrrrry frustrating.

    Upper Control Arm Creak Options

When this happened to mine, Service Center in Dallas TX said it was not a safety issue to continue driving it (I live in Atlanta). So mine got another 1000 miles or so on it before being replaced; no issue. The noise is embarrassing, but not a safety issue. If you want to DIY it, there is an...

    Upper Control Arm Creak Options

Yes they've been trying (and failing) for five years and counting now. I think they're on revision H or even later at this point.

    Rattle in rear (Model 3)

I put a garden hose washer on each backseat latch and it solved the rattle for me. The washers fall out if I unlatch the seat/s, but since I only do that once or twice a year, I'm good with this DIY solution.

    Supercharger - Fort Valley, GA

Not sure if it's relevant to your routing Orlando/Newnan, but I just noticed an Albany GA location under construction. West of Tifton.

    Supercharger - Fort Valley, GA

I view it as a positive that this will be v3 and not readily open to non-Teslas at least until Tesla gets around to modifying. Bucees is going to be a slam-packed charging location due to the amenities; last thing we need are other EVs having access to these.

    Upper Control Arm Creak Options

The biggest news here is you were only charged $275 to replace both. That's unreal; the going rate has been ~$500ea.

    Upper Control Arm Creak Options

Thank you for your detailed post. I followed it precisely and wow what an easy fix...thanks to you, 10 minutes?! And that was including taking my time. I am 6'1" and was able to get to the work area with very little difficulty; propped by iPhone on the tire and fender a bit left of center to...

    Florida vs Georgia purchase/registration differences

I will be purchasing a new Model Y in Q4 or Q1. I can purchase it in Florida, or I can have my wife purchase it in Georgia. Has anyone already compared the up-front vs ongoing cost differences of purchasing in Florida vs Georgia? For example, I know Georgia dings EV owners ~$200/yr and I know...

    Upper Control Arm Creak Options

Yes I'm scheduled in the morning for this creak, having had the control arms replaced at 57k mi (22mo and 41k mi ago). They put the -H version on the vehicle in Aug 2020...wonder what version they're on now? This thread makes me want to cancel the appt and just go the DIY grease route since...

    RWD MY Waiting Room

Given how sketchy Tesla "salespeople" tend to be historically, I'm not giving up on the LRRWDY just yet. I'm hoping that this is merely the latest half-ass angle being used by some Tesla reps to try to push as many line-waiters as possible into a version they don't want. Much as with my LRRWD3...

    Creaking Steering on Model 3 - 21k

Fortunately OP is still under warranty. My right upper control arm (March 2018 build) died at 52k miles and I got zero grace from the service center. $500 later...at least I have more than made up for it via stock ownership, but damn...no love for the early adopters of the Model 3.

    Model Y: 10,000 mile review

I was bummed when I test drove the Y; ride is still too harsh (very similar to our Model 3). We are highly likely to cancel our Y order because of this lack of progress on suspension.

Time to replace upper-control arm ball joints

Yes, Alpharetta is where I went as well. Ended up replacing the right (not the left). I remain very frustrated by Tesla's choice not to own up to these sorts of early-build mfr defects in parts. It's preventing me from adding another Tesla to the stable, in fact. Too many repair costs and I'll...

Time to replace upper-control arm ball joints

Turned out to be one side only, even though it sounded like both to me. $550 to replace the one side. No noises, so appears to be resolved. (Til the other side goes.)

Time to replace upper-control arm ball joints

Good to know thank you. I am headed in tomorrow. March 2018 build. No issues for 55k miles. In the past week they went from no issue to waking the dead anytime the vehicle moves at all (both sides). I am exceptionally disappointed that Tesla will not honor what's clearly a fleetwide part failure...

Tesla Cancels Sub $40,000 Standard Range Tesla Model Y

I found this Elon comment to be nothing more than a way to pull waiters off the sidelines and into the existing offerings (ideally) or into the LRRWD (when offered, soon). Gets more purchasers of the increased production volume at as high an ASP as possible, before later "changing his mind" and...

    Company Fleet of Teslas?

I own part of a construction company and we are an F-150/250/350 fleet. We will be adding a handful of Cybertrucks once they are available, essentially to test whether we should be converting the fleet (~30) to Cybertruck over time as replacements come along. While reliability is the obvious...

    modify order before delivery

Yeah my White/White Y LRRWD pre-order was auto-changed to the 20" wheels by Tesla as well. This seals the deal: the car looks so badass now with no chrome and those ~black wheels that there is now a 100% chance Stormtrooper is going to be purchased by me (once Tesla gets around to yanking that...

    modify order before delivery

This would surprise me, because typically it means Tesla is ready to match your order to a VIN and get that VIN to you. Also, depending when you ordered your Y, pricing may have gone higher so be sure to compare your existing order price to what it would cost you to configure your desired Y at...

FS: 18" Aero Wheels - OEM TPMS $900

This wheel set was driven home at delivery and never used again. (Tires have been put on another Model 3 so are not part of this sale.) All four wheels are pristine. Local pickup only in the Atlanta metro area; I'm too lazy to figure out how to ship these and be confident they won't get damaged...

Model 3 is a charging beast

This lower chart is the best I've seen (thanks to its bar graphs). It enables me to easily see that V3 vs V2 is essentially a ~5min time savings for my typical road-trip supercharge which is starting at 5-10%, ending at 50-60%, and motoring onward to the next supercharger ~150mi down the highway...

The worse part is that your Teslas are in the body shop in the first place!

Which colour goes best with Aero wheels?

I love contrasting colors on my vehicles, so therefore white (since they've stopped building metallic silver of course).

Please fix the curb rash risk on Model Y !

The current setup increases the TCO for many owners. That's why I'd like this wheel/tire situation corrected by Tesla not only on the Y but on a future tweak to the 3.

It's July 1, and black paint is still included with basic white nowhere to be found.

I love 99% of Elon, but it is things like this which boggle my mind. He tweets that on July 1 black paint will no longer be included, yet here we are July 1 and black paint is still included. I guess his tweet was just a final attempt at a Q2 demand lever, and sometime in the next few days he'll...

    Very Impressed w/Raven Performance +L

That the Raven LR can be had for as little as $85k++- is absolutely amazing. So amazing that it doesn't even make sense to me! Not to mention delivery in June (according to the ordering website).

    Supercharger - Buford, GA

The issue with that location is that it is in a corner of the Tesla Decatur store and very much subject to being unreachable due to either too much inventory in the way, or the chargers being in use for new deliveries, not to mention the lot being secured after hours. I'd never advise a Tesla...

Ride The Lightning: Elon Musk Interview

My main takeaway from this podcast is that Elon sounds HAPPY. As we know, this is not always the case, not by a longshot. Very comforting to hear him happy/excited despite all the recent downward stock price performance. I continue to be long Elon Musk...the man bats 1.000.

Who is supposed to get Free Supercharging?

"It's our end of the model year clearance and EVERYTHING MUST GO! NO REASONABLE OFFERS WILL BE DENIED!" "NO CREDIT? NO PROBLEM!" Oh sorry, got some ICE on me there for a minute.
  41. suwaneedad

Who is supposed to get Free Supercharging?

For life, when you purchase an inventory S/X by June 30...Tesla is trying to clear out all of the pre-Raven S/X inventory in other words.
  42. suwaneedad

Inventory discount on 75d worth it?

Wholly agree; I am shocked to read that Tesla is only discounting that vehicle by $4k given the mileage (that's quite a few test drives or something) and the benefits of instead ordering the Raven version with improved suspension, range, etc.
  43. suwaneedad

Extended warranty? I can't believe it. What did he just say?

Because it will not be long at all before some Model 3s are hitting 50k, and at least in my case I would rather hand my cash to Tesla than to an aftermarket extended warranty provider. Seems like an easy source of cash for Tesla to offer these, just as they did for S/X. I'll be at 50k before the...

Someone buy this X 100D 6 seater with EAP for $69K

Holy mackerel...what this implies about the tanking values of X is just mind-blowing! I get the quarter end inventory push thing, but it's only mid-May! What's Tesla going to offer the ~same vehicle for the last week of June?!
  45. suwaneedad

    2014 Model S 85 for $29k, thoughts?

FWIW, I don't think miles matter. I'd learn what the rated range is at 100% charge, compare that to readily available capacity degradation charts on the web to see how this car compares, and then you're just talking about getting the car at a market price. One of my favorite sports is buying...

Car wash: How to keep charge door closed?

Oh, and yeah I think Car Wash Mode should be a thing...automatically folds the mirrors, shuts off wipers, goes into N, and locks down the charge port door. One tap could eliminate a bunch of taps and swipes.

Car wash: How to keep charge door closed?

Dang bro, funniest post I've seen in a while although my heart breaks for you. Meanwhile, you've made me grateful that the little magnet on the underside of the charge door fell off my car about a year ago and I haven't bothered to have it replaced. Because without that magnet, you can touch the...

New 18" tires needed after only 30K Miles, normal tread wear?

Randy I have 26k on my LR RWD, and rotated one time back at 6k when I was at the SvcCtr anyway getting a due bill handled. All four of mine are at 4 or 5/32nds as of today, so roughly half of where they were new (8/32 on the OEM version of these tires). I run my car at half (or more) road trip...
