    It is good but, it advocates steps that might not be necessary.

    That makes me wonder how much you would save with making your own EVSE?

    There seems to be a fair bit of room to cost reduce from what is available now. Getting down to under half the current prices seems doable.

    A fair bit of the cost is still the plug end. It will be nice when you can find good quality J1772 plugs for well under $100...

    EVSE to be Available at Lowes
    Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse to start selling GE’s Wattstation electric car chargers...should sell for about $1000 USD...
    I think you could build your own for under $500... (But what is all the labor worth?, and you won't have a well tested, certified product...)
