Your Tesla will learn your driving habits, and while initially posting the expected range when starting out on a trip, they will, in real time, recalculate your distances to empty along your trip. They will give you an estimate of where you should stop at Superchargers along the way, and estimate how long you should stay hooked up to have enough juice to get to your next estimated stop. Often they will not advise going to the extreme outter range, but coservativley direct you to a closer Supercharger for a short stop, when charging efficiency will be greatest, giving you a quicker charging experience. This technology will take into consideration elevation changes, average driving speeds, wind conditons, Temperature conditions, condition of your battery, rain, snow, vehicle load etc.
Poster is claiming this technology is to fool you into believing you have greater range than advertised, but in reality is just using click bait headlines to grab readership. (Man bites dog!)
