What's the deal with the state/federal incentives?

Hi folks. Got my Model S a bit over a year ago. I believe we are eligible for $7,500 income tax credit (federal) as well as $1,750 (PA State rebate, first 250 applicants).

I submitted these when I filed my taxes last year. I did get the $1,750 from the PA State, but have not heard back at all for the federal rebate/incentive.

Any suggestions/ ideas/ experiences? Is there a way to check the status?

The federal form, 8936 as I recall, is simply filed as part of your return
They would not notify you
It would simply be a credit against total taxes owed

as @idealsol mentioned, this is a tax credit, not rebate. So provided you paid at least $7500 in taxes you would have seen this $$$ as part of your tax refund.

I shot off this post too soon. I just checked with my tax accountant, and apparently, this was included with my tax returns! So I'm happy about that... but disappointed now realizing that my tax returns last year were not as much as I had thought they'd be. Oh well!!

At least I got the rebate!!
