What is the highest reservation number to get invite to configure?

Well, it's another Monday. We'll see if the config invite comes today but as of right now this 1/11 deposit hasn't been invited to the config party.

No invites reported for production Model X today on the Canadian thread as well, may be our low Canadian dollar and the current problems with Model x are causing the delay.:cursing:

Meet Model X | Tesla Motors

Because I know you're all anxiously awaiting my update...We're now more than 2 weeks past my 1/11 reservation and no invite to configure. Pretty crazy that I missed the configuration flood gates by mere hours! So now we're at a place where all US reservations holders were invited to configure on 1/11...but since then there is a new waiting queue. I'll need to start my own new support group. Sounds like we can hang out with our friends to the north in Canada!

It does make me wonder though...if production was ramping successfully you'd think the configuration process would simply be open. Are there issues resulting in not taking new configurations for now? Oh the mysteries...

This question was brought up before. See here: Production (Non-Sig) Model X Vin #'s now being issued - Page 9

I'll just quote myself: "It's about the expectations. If you click on a button that says "Reserve Yours", it's implied that you'll have to wait, and at that point you know it'll be a while. If there's an "Order Now" button like there is for the MS, you expect to be driving your new Tesla within a few months tops."

I have no problem waiting. I'm just reacting to the fact that the person who reserved on 1/10 was invited to configure on 1/11. I reserved on 1/11 and two weeks later nothing. Again, I'm in no rush I'm just trying to piece together the puzzle pieces. Trying to understand how the go-forward batching will go...

It's pretty arbitrary, but they need to make a cut-off somewhere (until they clear the backlog and can produce cars at the same rate as the orders come in). Definitely frustrating, but it applies to all of us - ordering a few days earlier or later can make a huge difference. And keep in mind that many of us have been waiting for years, so whatever happens, you're very likely going to get your car much faster than most.

I hear ya. I'm actually not frustrated at all. I'm trying to make it to my 3 year mark with my P85...March 2017. So even if invited today, I'd postpone confirming (especially until after my late February test drive).

Hey MiddKid, I just realized that you and I have P85s that were delivered a day apart. VINs in the same thousand, as well..

Well look at that! Are you trading in your MS for the MX or keeping both?

I'd love to go dual Tesla but just can't do it. We use and abuse our Toyota Sequoia for my family of five (and dog) and I just can't give up the space...and more importantly the Thule roof box! So for now I'll swap out my MS for the MX (kids are out-growing the jump seats) and then we still need the ICE SUV.

One reason I'm potentially targeting the 3 year mark is that it MAY make sense to do the Tesla buy-back guarantee. Tesla gave me a recent trade-in estimate of 63,300. Depending on prices around delivery, it may make sense to pull the buy-back guarantee trigger...this timing is going to get tricky.

Welcome to our impatiently waiting to be invited group...Canadian signatures were assigned delivery specialist but no VINs..Non signatures no clue about invites. We keep checking "MY TESLA" every Monday. My closest service center is 1160 km so the delay for me is a blessing in disguise as I am hoping for all the problems listed by Mark z and others in TMC & TM are resolved.

I'm also waiting for a test drive, but I'd love to poke around in the design studio already... I don't understand the logic in only allowing people in X at a time... not everyone who plays with the design studio is going to click 'order' at the same time...
