It's only been 750 days, what's another 42? :-(

I'm onto next phase which I think is worse because now there's nothing to check on the mytesla page. I have a VIN so at this point I'm waiting for a call from the delivery specialist. Before there was always the hope that when I checked the site something would have changed. Now I just have to wait. I keep hoping that maybe my phones not ringing because I don't have service and so I check to see if I have have a voicemail but I do not lol.

Line waiter, ordered 4/6, VIN 4/9....please call me Tesla so I can have my life back!

Has your delivery coordinator not given you a target delivery date? My VIN was assigned 4/4, I think, and within a couple days I had at least an approximate delivery date. The date turned out to be five days earlier than predicted originally.

....and here I am agonizing over whether to move forward now that I got my invite last week or try to hold out until early July to see if any more info. about interior options or a P model comes out!

Two years of torturous wait, now onto self-inflicted misery! (Eventually to be followed up by wore waiting- I need to find a new hobby!)

I read posts like these and thought people with VINs were just spoiled and shouldn't be complaining about not receiving a call. 5 days after getting my VIN I am going nuts waiting for a phone call. Now I read that some service centers send an email so I constantly check my inbox all day long. My sympathy for VIN waiters has dropped :)

So I called that same day I got the VIN which was Monday, 4/9 and was told I had been assigned an delivery specialist already and was even given her name. They told me she'd call me sometime that week but I never got the call. So then I called the following Tuesday 4/17 and they said someone would call me by the end of the day. Still no call so called again the next day and they said they are swamped and someone should reach out soon. The guy said they usually reach out within 2 weeks of the VIN being assigned so maybe by Monday I'll get a call as that would be 2 weeks exactly. I would just be nice to get an general idea of when I might take delivery.

I configured on 3/28 and it's been crickets chirping until today. I noticed my VIN this morning, put in my financing details, and my delivery specialist e-mailed me a couple hours later saying my M3 is in "final stages to prepare for delivery" and she'd let me know the delivery date early next week. To say I'm excited would be a gross understatement.....

I've personally gone through the following stages after placing my deposit:
1. Can't get enough M3 info and pictures.
2. Looked at the delivery estimator every week or so.
3. Once delieveries really started, refreshed my tesla account page multiple times per day.
4. Once configured, started constantly looking at VIN assignment threads.
5. Once VIN assigned, started looking at ISA communication thread/waiting for the Las Vegas call. Stopped looking at VIN assignment threads.
6. Once delivery scheduled, still obsessed with looking, but more in a general sense, nothing specific.
7. Once took delivery....oh wait that happens tomorrow! I'll let you know what happens then.
I'm wondering if there is anyone else that has followed similar stages.

- Online order placed on 3/31/16 at around 10:00pm (best guess?)
- Invite email to configure on 4/13/18... configured two hours later
- Received VIN# and email from ISA today around 10:30am
- Sent required docs via email to my ISA within an hour of receiving email... no response
- Also called my ISA's direct line and left a message... crickets :(
- I'm hopeful I'll get a call, or at least an email response, by Monday
- My VIN# starts 15xxx... any chance I take delivery by Saturday the 28th?!?!

I'm so ready for this car... so close now... will be a great day in Marina Del Rey when my number is finally called!

Your configure-to-VIN was only 7 days... nice! I also configured on 4/13 and don't have a VIN yet (as of 12:04AM on 4/21).

Don't wait too long. I was in my 6th week when I got my VIN and called to get my delivery specialist contact info. I emailed her and got a bounce back that says she was on a two week vacation. This exact same delivery specialist was assigned to my dad a week earlier and the same thing happened to him. When I called in to the main line to see what could be done they seemed surprised that she was out and assigned me someone else.

Moral of the story is to take ownership of your delivery and ensure they are working on it for you.
