I was assuming it was using the Ultrawide Band key for positioning as those cars have the hardware for that.

Titanic and shuffling deck chairs springs to mind, there’s actually very little of substance here for most owners. My expectation of what’s significant has been set by adaptive headlights.

I was assuming it was using the Ultrawide Band key for positioning as those cars have the hardware for that.

It might not need UWB. Most phones have motion sensors so can tell the phone app when you've stopped moving and then it just needs to know you're roughly at the boot area. I don't have UWB and have to get close to the door for it to unlock so it seems feasible. Could be wrong though, it's a clever feature if it works well.
