A stopped clock tells the right time twice a day....On my car the wipers always behave perfectly but rain, mist, spray or certain lighting conditions do not conform.
Will the Met Office ever fix this?
I would guess that it is an indication of the Dashcam recording?Has anyone spotted the camera icon at the top of the new UI? I don’t recall seeing it before, wonder what it is for? It’s on the videos clips posted earlier in the thread also.

Possibly - I wonder if a tap of it will also trigger a recording instead of relying on automatic, or having to use the horn.I would guess that it is an indication of the Dashcam recording?
You can also tap the Dashcam icon to manually save so not sure the camera icon adds much if in fact that's what it's for.Possibly - I wonder if a tap of it will also trigger a recording instead of relying on automatic, or having to use the horn.
Only if the dashcam icon is on the shortcuts or recently used. I don't bother, I'd rather have more useful items in that area. You can also tap the Dashcam icon to manually save so not sure the camera icon adds much if in fact that's what it's for.
Why not just use voice command "save dashcam"Possibly - I wonder if a tap of it will also trigger a recording instead of relying on automatic, or having to use the horn.
Each to their own, and you are of course correct. I like having the icon on the screen as a nice confirmation that our SSD is connected and recording.Only if the dashcam icon is on the shortcuts or recently used. I don't bother, I'd rather have more useful items in that area.
'Navigating to a dashcam store'Why not just use voice command "save dashcam"
It works flawlessly.
I'd prefer to have this at the top of the screen and not wasting one of my quick launch icons. Kind of like sentry mode has its own icon where you can toggle it on and off. I would say though that is maybe a too small hit box when driving so have it say as a button that's above the cards on the driver display. There's plenty of unused white space there really and could be somewhat larger and easier to hit. Each to their own, and you are of course correct. “Opening Glovebox”!'Navigating to a dashcam store'
Joking aside, why is it that they are making such good progress on self driving cars, GenAI and so on but they cannot get voice commands to work properly. I think the Tesla system to be fair is much better than most, the one in the Lotus was pretty poor. I think some guy had a video of trying to adjust the temp and it kept opening windows instead. I mean maybe technically that would change the temp...“Opening Glovebox”!
Classic AI - what an invention, more akin to human beings thinking when it gets too hot or cold!uy had a video of trying to adjust the temp and it kept opening windows instead. I mean maybe technically that would change the temp.
Yeah, doesn't seem like a big deal but it really is. Imagine beeping the horn a good minute after an incident.I use the left scroll wheel, the horn means it cuts the clip in the wrong place.
You typically need at least 1 min after the event and that kind of makes the horn redundant.
It was announced as a press release, rather than just starting to appear like many upgrades do. So that means it could be ages. I'll start thinking about it once the first one appears on, for example, Teslafi. Nothing yet.any news on when this will be rolled out?
