Thoughts on Carrying 4 Bikes

I have been searching options for carrying 4 bikes. There is bike racks that can hold 4 bikes. But that would definitely exceed the tongue weight on the trailer hitch.

I have thought of getting the roof rack. But could I fit 4 full size bikes on the roof?

Or do I put 2 on the roof and get a hitch mounted 2 bike rack as well?

Great bike rack. I think with the 4 bike extension that rack is 91 lbs. So with the tongue weight of 200 pounds you can carry 27 pounds per bike. Too bad their Pivot 2 add on to swing the rack to the side is 46 pounds. Curious if the 3 trunk or Y hatch would hit most handlebars when opened.

is 200lbs the max tongue weight? I’ve seen some hitches with 300lb tongue weight?

I guess some third party hitches, like the EcoHitch go to 300lbs but the OEM hitch in Europe made by Westfalia is only rated for 91kg or 200 lbs.
