New I have to mention this. I've had a cool to a different temperature than I heat to for my home thermostat for more than 20 years. Why doesn't Tesla have it. At home, I heat to 68 F and cool to 73F. I'd like to do the same thing on my Model 3. Come on Elon, this is a freebi

Yes, this would be *awesome*. The sweet spot for me would be 19-22 degrees celsius. Could be a nice setting to specify the temperature range which in my case could be 1.5 degree.
 
What's wrong with auto and setting the desired temp?

A single temperature setpoint means that the car is likely (but not always) going to be using extra energy to heat or cool the outdoor air to achieve the single setpoint.

If instead you have separate heating and cooling setpoints, the inside temperature is allowed to float between the two setpoints (on the assumption you don't care what the temperature provided it is between those two setpoints). This saves energy.
