Ok had our new Model S Performance for less than a week. What in the world was Tesla thinking putting those useless cup holder under the siding center armrest. You cannot put your arm on the rest if there is a drink sticking up. Plus it is so far back you need to have some kind of moneys arms to rest on them with exposed cupholders.

They work for me. I use the passenger side cup holder for my drink, and slide the arm rest on my side up for my arm. My wifey prefers not to use the cup holder as she keeps her drink at her feet. So, for some of us, they are not useless.

And if I weren't 6'5", my arm would probably fit, and I would use the near holder.

Thank goodness we don't have to worry about ash trays any more!

What is wrong with using the cupholders in the lower part of the center console, under the sliding door? Properly configured, you can get two Cups or water bottles in there. My original Tesla had only the armrest ones--and I hated them--now they are just extra.

you know why? because its a crappy design that hasn't been touched by anyone since the first model S rolled out in 2013(2012?), so you're looking at a 8 year old design from a car company's first mass production car. I find it kinda amusing that you're complaining about it today considering I read someone say the exact same thing 7-8 years ago. You'll find many things lacking in the model S that other economy cars have had things as standard like frickin' DOOR POCKETS!

The car is polished just enough to make people still ok paying $80k for a 8 year old car, but theres still many things that are starting to be an annoyance that should have been fixed 4 years ago if the car followed a traditional refresh cycle...

Well I followed through on this and it seems we did not get the dividers. So far the home delivery has not impressed me. Contact with my delivery specialists has came up with zero. Also this is day 8 so out of sight out of mind...
