That is correct and has been discussed in this thread many times lately. GAAP accounting rules are "strange".

IMO if we can break through 665 today or tomorrow, (The open price for the big drop about 2 months ago) FOMO will start to kick in and I don’t think the 700’s will be far behind.

Just noticed we're teetering exactly at the avg 1yr analyst estimate of $652.52Maybe saying this as a way to establish a fire break, in case it wants to go to 901.
These clowns may need to re-evaluate before Labor Day. Such a shame to pull them off the beach for 10 minutes.

Disruption is hard.
I doubt anyone takes him seriously. I like to think even the stuffed deer head on his wall snickers at him when he leaves the room.
During the previous four sessions, TSLA closed above its 200-day SMA (simple moving average) which today is at $616. Today TSLA has soared above its 50-day SMA of $642. There is not much significant news. Somebody must know or expect something.
That's why the running joke around here is that TSLA goes down on good news, down on bad news, and up on no news.Ideal scenario for me to Fade some TSLA @ $652 and simultaneously sold 650 PUT
Do not see any news or catalyst to correlate todays +30 gain.
