Of course Tesla is not the whole answer but at least someone is doing something to start the ball running.

There's a relevant saying that was in the recent documentary Racing Extinction: "Better to light one candle than curse the darkness."

The "Not a dream" quote appears to have been taken from Nikola Tesla's book "The Problem of increasing Human energy".
This is the closest quote I can find online.
