I took my MY LR delivery on May 20th in Richmond (BC, Canada) and noticed some minor paint issue. And some other issues that I am not really concerned, the door trim alignment, window not sitting flush.
Passenger door frame paint damage:
Trunk edge/roof:
Dust under paint on Trunk:
And Some really tiny paint damage, just little black dots. The delivery guy said all can be fixed so I took my new baby home and had a wonderful 3-week honey moon.
Today I finally got my post-delivery service appointment (on great northern way, only place to do post delivery service, Vancouver owner's be aware ), the SC said they cant do anything to the window or door trim but they promised to fix paint issue and it turned out everything just got worse:
Very rough paint surface (you can probably tell from the pic) and multiple dust black/white dots:
I am out of words, no clue how to describe this paint work, may be my 12 years Labrador Retriever can do a much better job :
All the tiny paint damages are turned into much bigger "touch up white dots".
I am not happy with the job they done, and I'd rather they didn't touch my car and I could live as it is. They tried to offer me "service credit", makes no sense. I insisted to escalate and they said they can book me for body shop to repaint the roof. I am not sure if the body shop could do anything to the door frame or touch ups, any thought? Is this paint correction acceptable? My first thought is worse than original, but I am kind of OCD/picky person.
This is the first time dealing with such an unprofessional service center, I am so upset. However, the attitude of the service guy was perfect, I could not say anything bad about him, but their shop did a terrible job.
