I didn't notice that before. You think it is the tails matching the rims? I sure hope so! I like the exterior color combinations he chose.

Seriously though, the photo sometimes accents that if you don't have a anti-polarizing filter (right?). I've heard that it doesn't get glare in real life. This weekend many of us will find out for sure...

This concern has surfaced many times, and everyone that I can think of who's seen the display in real life has mentioned that it's not a problem, even in sunlight.

The Sig Red without the smoked tails, looks horrible. There is something about all that chrome, the tack on cf spoiler and the clear tail lights that looks super gaudy to me. I really hope Tesla offers smoked tails as an option (or standard on the performance). If not maybe I should have went with a black exterior :crying:
Sadly, I thought the same when looking at the rear picture. It needs to be smoked Tesla, cammon! I think the excess of badges makes it worse.

Smoked tails work with white and black. Smoked tails with any other paint color will look tuner-ish.
Totally agree. I think the extra bright light is making the clear lenses stand out in the pictures.
Disagree. If they're "murdered out" maybe, but all the white/clear plastic showing in the aforementioned pic looks more tuner/altezza-like IMO

It might just be a camera trick/glare problem. No one has really mentioned this as a significant issue until:
1. we noted a car with smoked tails
2. We saw this picture.
I'm betting that it is perfectly satisfactory and we are getting suckered a little by the camera.

Everyone's commenting on the tail lights, what's up with all the fingerprints on his 17" screen. Again the light is probably hitting them just right to cause them to stand out, but they're still there. Think someone will make a plastic coating cover for the screen like they do for cell phones? The peel and stick kind. Or is it something you just need to clean with a rag once a week? I'd use a large lens cloth and lens cleaner.

My smartphone w/ a plastic screen protector still needs to be cleaned of fingerprints. As others have posted, glare has not been an issue by those who have actually sat in the cars while outside. I'm sure we'll get more feedback after this wkend.
