Tesla/iPhone Autoplay last thing listened to

Lots of people have posted here and elsewhere about their problem with Spotify automatically playing when connected with Bluetooth. This is s problem not only for Spotify, but for Apple Music, and Podcasts. And, it happens in BMW's and elsewhere.

Does ANYONE have a general solution to this, other than the workaround of turning the volume to zero or pausing every time you leave the vehicle.

The problem simply stated is: My car automatically plays the last thing I was listening to, if it is connected to my iPhone by bluetooth OR through the charging/data connection.

That’s how it’s supposed to work if you select your phone as the music source (doesn’t matter if you plug in the phone). Choose a different music source before you leave the car if you don’t want Bluetooth streaming to resume.
