Tesla/iPhone Autoplay last thing listened to

Lots of people have posted here and elsewhere about their problem with Spotify automatically playing when connected with Bluetooth. This is s problem not only for Spotify, but for Apple Music, and Podcasts. And, it happens in BMW's and elsewhere. Does ANYONE have a general solution to this...

    Can't connect to Tunein

TuneIn and song requests are not working EXCEPT when I am at home on wifi - then they work perfectly. Seems like an issue with the wireless connection. Talked with Tesla service who said that this may be the case. We need to let Tesla know en masse.

AP 2.0 - Lets log our experiences

Overall, I am impressed on theoretical issues, but terrified on practical ones. I traded in my non-AP, rear wheel drive Model S after 3 years for a new one with HW2 and AP2 to get 4WD and AP. Have had one AP software update allowing me to drive at 55 on highways. Here are a few observations...

    Electricity Costs in Massachusetts/New England

My garage is detached, and the electric line actually runs behind it, so it was a no brainer. It costs me $10/mos. meter charge. I really had no choice because of the distance/asphalt from the house to the garage.

    Electricity Costs in Massachusetts/New England

Yes, of course. I did switch to this for my garage only. It is a great rate. I don't use power in the garage on peak except for minor garage openings, etc.

Change in Energy Consumption w/ change from 5.9 to 5.12?

Turned off the climate system and it is still much worse than historical. It is making me a little crazy. My lifetime average is starting to creep up. Has anyone had something like this happen? My commute and driving haven't changed.

Current status of Firmware 6.0 ?

Maybe a little over wrought. How about: "I wish the gardener did not waste time mowing your lawn, instead he/she should have been building a brick patio out of pavers."

Change in Energy Consumption w/ change from 5.9 to 5.12?

Hmmm...it has cooled down a bit. Perhaps that is it. Bought the car in late April, and I haven't had much experience with the heater. Ok, thanks.

Change in Energy Consumption w/ change from 5.9 to 5.12?

Nope. 45 psi all around. There is definitely something different. Some new way of calculating. One example I have noticed - the car now starts off extremely erratic in wh/m since last charge. Begins at over 1,000 then down to 165 then up to 315 then down to 230 (an example) before settling in...

Change in Energy Consumption w/ change from 5.9 to 5.12?

OK. I take that silence to mean that nobody else has seen a change in energy consumption.

Change in Energy Consumption w/ change from 5.9 to 5.12?

My local Tesla service took my car to repair the frunk crease. I had about 3,700 miles with average of 328 Wh/mi; the car had 5.9 on it. They gave me a loaner, a P85 with 5.12 on it. Consumption averaged around 370 Wh/mi. I assumed it was the souped up motor. However, my car came back with...

Why can't they build in MA, PA, or NH? PA isn't really "local" to New England, either.

Tesla's rollout of high-power wall chargers - where are they?

I don't think this is the map. These are chargers at Tesla stores and service centers. Where are the "restaurants, hotels, beach parking and other locations?"

The ski round-trip problem in the Northeast

"They don't know" is being kind. The sell I got about superchargers (and some other things) was akin to a sleazy used car sales organization.

The ski round-trip problem in the Northeast

I highly doubt the Hookset chargers will be ready by this ski season. It doesn't even look like Auburn will be done for Western MA. The pace of NE superchargers is ridiculously slow. Tesla is treating the area like the rural Midwest.

Current status of Firmware 6.0 ?

Yes, but there comes a time when beta converts to GA. There is code freeze, and a schedule of a release. So, if you are one to two weeks away (as the previous poster suggested) you should have a predictable schedule. On the other hand, I would think they would wait until after Labor Day as the...

    Leaving animals in Model S

You are exactly right. That is what I thought. It was a strip mall where there were two small stores in a summer vacation community. Leaving animals in Model S

Animal activists and Model S Hey guys - I was in the store for FIVE minutes. The woman was ridiculous. She was concerned that I didn't "crack the window" when the sunroof was wide open. FIVE minutes. Sheesh. Ps - the a/c was not on. But no dog is going to bake in a car with the sunroof open...

    Tesla moments

Yesterday, in a parking lot, I had several people tell me what a beautiful car it was. Then, one guy walked over and said "do you have to plug it in, or does it charge by using the brakes. I heard it charges by using the brakes." So, I told him "yes, you have to plug it in" and explained...

So, at this point, there are no other possible "coming soon" or "2014" superchargers in NE (except the Sagamore charger), as they would run into winter? That's what it feels like. A whole year, and New England remains a wasteland.

Drop-In Center Console now in the Tesla Model S online store

I have to admit, I am happy that there was a delay. I got my car, and really like NOT having a center console. I wouldn't buy one if I came up on the list. I bought this: McGuire-Nicholas 22565-1 Mighty Bag Compact Tool Storage Tote, 7-Inch, Gray - Nail Bag - Amazon.com which works great and...

I find this hard to believe, in that the Sagamore supercharger makes a lot more sense, and was up before the town for approval. Does anyone know what happened? They aren't going to put two in the Cape. Dennis doesn't make sense for location either. I am guessing the employee got the location...

Tesla Sales Banned in New Jersey... hopefully not for long!

Tesla Sales Banned in New Jersey Good luck with that. Changing a recently changed law is more difficult than getting it right the first time. Ps - it Ian't 4% Teslas. It is 4% ZEVs. If Leaf sales take off, they will crowd out Tesla sales.

Tesla Sales Banned in New Jersey... hopefully not for long!

http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2014/Bills/A3500/3096_I1.PDF or in HTML: A3096 The bill allows ZEV manufacturers (and then, seemingly any manufacturer) to sell direct in the state as long as they sell less than 4% of the cars in a state. This seems a half way measure. Essentially, it says...

Taking an on-ramp turn too fast?

This is basic physics. You should always maintain a constant speed during a curve; this will require keeping your foot on the accelerator. When you maintain a constant speed, you are actually accelerating towards the center of the curve; this is known as centripetal acceleration. If you slow...
