Syncing SolarEdge Inverter Output with Tesla Charge Rate

I need to figure out a system for charging both cars since the app only supports controlling one car at a time. I'm thinking I'll just drop the charge rate on my wife's car to 16A and set it to start around 9-10am and let the app send the excess solar into my car.

That sounds like a reasonable strategy given your situation and the present limitations.

Seems reasonable. So both cars show up in the app under the same username?

Yes I can see either car in the Charge HQ app. It will depend on how your Tesla account is setup since that's how they're accessing the information.

I told the developer it would ideal if you could schedule both cars and Powerwall charging based on a priority system since it already supports a priority system between one car and the Powerwall. He said they're planning on better support more multiple vehicles in the future.

Had to manually adjust the wife's car, but managed to hit the solar curve pretty closely. Not too bad and it would be seamless if they support dual EVs in the future.

Looks good. Pretty much what mine is doing as well. I like this capability, wish Tesla would implement it natively in the app, that would really be convenient.

Tesla app does already have similar functionality but only during a power outage.

Tomorrow will be a good sunny test day: morning errands while full battery covers house during morning peak period, then while car plugged in during midday off peak expect Powerwall to charge from solar while grid covers house then the car will charge from excess solar which would normally be sent to the grid.

Just an update to say Charge HQ works great, as long as enter Sydney times.

Agree. This is the best 3rd party app for Tesla + solar. I use its capability every day.

just got an email that timezone support has been added. Interface will appear in app update in a few days
