Supercharger - Belleville, ON

Passed through Belleville and hopped off the highway and checked around the main drag near the 401.

There's the quinte mall, a big box centre next door with homesense, movie, LCBO, staples... Then beside that there's home depot and best buy with a few restaurants mixed in. Checked it all and nothing.

Then I saw across the street at a former future shop location had a section of the lot dug up with the telltale fencing around it. Got excited thinking I'd found it and took a couple of pics. Even had a portapotty for Mr.PlugShare

But alas it was a construction site for a new fast food restaurant (Popeye's).

This location just makes it easier to plan your trip to Ottawa from Toronto or from Montreal to Toronto etc. It's not a huge destination although Prince Edward County is blowing up with tourism and wineries just south of Belleville. But it's more about filling in the route along the 401. Let's you skip Cornwall and Kingston for example and really work with the bottom third of your battery more where it charges fastest.

Anyone else have any intel on the area? Belleville is a small town so asking a couple of the right people will likely lead to the answer.

Confirmed.

20 supercharger spots. Trenches are dug, concrete pedestals in place for 18 of the 20 with 2 to go.

Location is at Quinte Mall at Bell Blvd near HWY 62 (North Front St) 1 minute from the 401.

There's an East Side Mario's 50 yards from the chargers in the mall, as well as Subway and A&W across the road. Montana's, Lone Star and Boston Pizza are on the other side of the mall parking lot about 300 yards away.

I see this location and I just had to get the following questions off my chest:

1. Are these the standard duplex charging stalls, or are they triplets?

2. Are they innovatively powered - i.e., by stationary bicycles, perhaps?

That is all.....

I would say these are duplex stalls based on the dual hamster wheel installation nearby. Model 3 owners, of course, will need to provide their own hamsters whereas S and X owners get the hamsters for free, for life.

Looks like urban style pedestals. Curious. Great location to supplement Kingston and Port Hope either way.
Isn't there a theory that they will be moving all or pretty much all future installations to the urban style? Hence the urban style at Sherway which is different than pretty much all of the other shopping mall installs in Ontario.
