More Wh/mile means it's less efficient with the Aero covers OFF. That's how I interpret the first posting anyway.
It could be right. 75-85mph is quite fast. aero drag goes up exponentially with speed.

Highway speeds were 75-85 mph? What does that mean exactly? Were the speeds identical on both runs out not?
Were the two runs done right after each other to ensure similar temps and winds?
Did each run stop/start at the same location to minimize effects from changes in elevation and wind direction?
Was climate control turned off?
Etc. Etc. Etc.
(Also, what is ML ND?)

Agree, a 53 mile test with no controls for variables and no replication is a problem.
What we need to do is have two Model 3 owners get together and do this test at the same time. Drive the exact same route at the same time at the same speeds, one with Aeros on and one with them off.
Gotta do the same road with similar weather conditions.... also, same bladder liquid status to account for weight difference. Science demands nothing less.
My experience is my experience, obviously. Your mileage may vary.
That being said, I have driven the same route to work for 16 days. Each time was a consistent 240 ish Wh/m. Again, it’s not scientific, but I feel it’s a consistent data point.
I’ve only driven once without the covers, but that is a significant change. Also, I did not hoondog it and Otto was my pilot.

Those numbers came from Tesla. I believe they measure efficiency at either 60 or 65 mph. The OP measured at 70/75 mph.

This caught my eye too. Unless OP adds more detail to convince me otherwise it sounds like the test runs had too much variation to give a valid comparison.
That said, 244 Wh/mile at 75-85 mph is tremendous.

Not controlled enough testing for me. I don't think that the ugly plastic discs increase the efficiency that much ..
Both using autopilot, then switching who leads and coming back the other direction. Repeat 5-7 times.
