Possible Tesla App HVAC improvements needed

We use the Vent window option often during hotter dry months but have been experiencing issues. When issuing the Vent window command from the Tesla App, on many occasions the car is in Camp Mode when we return to the car and the windows are down in the vent position. We do not know why that is happening. Yesterday I vented the windows and did not have internet access for 3 hours to verify the HVAC state. When I returned to the car it was in Camp mode 66F with the windows in the vent position. This used 15% or the battery in the three hour period. It might be nice if the App asked are your sure you want to enable one of the keep climate on options or at the very least roll the windows back up so we are not trying to heat/cool the outdoors? Has anyone else had this problem? Is there something we are doing wrong using the app to vent the windows?

Not sure I understand your issue. Venting and Camp Mode are both things you have to enable, so why are you using them at the same time? Do one or the other.

I am not enabling them both. When I use the vent window mode, somehow the Camp Mode is enabling on it own.

I see. That’s not supposed to happen, and I haven’t read other reports of that issue. Does it happen every time? Any chance you’re accidentally enabling Camp Mode when you vent the windows? Which version of the mobile app do you have?
