I have had some odd nooses when backing out of the driveway as well. I preciously owned a 4wd truck and agree that it sounds similar to when I'm 4x4 and trying to turn. It feels a little like grippy wheels and the front differential not quite allowing enough free rotation.Mine is going tomorrow. Engineering out of Fremont want the car in for diagnosis as it is a common complaint. Also have an issue with steering thud coming out the garage this morning almost felt like when you turn a 4x4 in low. Something is very off on the front powertrain of these cars. Will keep you all updated !!!
Cant say that I've noticed any noise while turning the wheel. But I'll test it out here in a few for yaThe car is at the service center now. Will keep you updated. Just curious do you notice noise when turning the yoke full left and right while stopped ?
I notice sticking noises while driving through drive throughs... Almost like the tires are too sticky on the pavement. But that has been my extent. I cant hear it while someone else drives on the street, so I chalked it up to tires being sticky.I have had some odd nooses when backing out of the driveway as well. Off topic but which tires came on your car? Thanks for taking one for the team! Keep us posted!
295 in the rear, 265 in the frontOff topic but which tires came on your car?
Update: car still in. Engineering is looking at everything from control arms and bushings to control units. What is causing them the most concern is the vibration stays contrast although faint at those speeds mentioned.295 in the rear, 265 in the front
So they have acknowledged the vibration? It's not on every car?Update: car still in. Engineering is looking at everything from control arms and bushings to control units. What is causing them the most concern is the vibration stays contrast although faint at those speeds mentioned.
They have acknowledged it. They say it is on most cars. Some more subtle then others. Waiting to hear back. Either motor mount, controller or possibly shafts off by a hair.So they have acknowledged the vibration? It's not on every car?
Yes Pilot Sport 4SMichelin's?
Thanks for the updates on this. Did they say it is on most Plaids, or most refreshes (Plaids & LRs) altogether? They have acknowledged it. They say it is on most cars. Some more subtle then others. Waiting to hear back. Either motor mount, controller or possibly shafts off by a hair.
Seems to be on plaids only right now. Thanks for the updates on this. Did they say it is on most Plaids, or most refreshes (Plaids & LRs) altogether?
I have the issue and I have a LR.Seems to be on plaids only right now.
Thanks good to know. I know a user here has his car in service. They've tried repositioning the motor, updating firmware with no luck. Tesla just reordered axels for him in an attempt to fix it.I have the issue and I have a LR.
I had a scheduled service visit this Friday for a delivery defect in the roof panel, but the part hasn't arrived in New Orleans yet, so I will likely have to reschedule. I was going to bring up the vibration at that time.
Welcome to Tesla's solution when needing a ride: Uber credits.I have a plaid. Same vibration around 50mph. I also recently started having a much louder grinding noise at low speeds. On slow acceleration and especially on breaking… anyone else?
does Tesla give you a loaner?
