Phantom Cabin Heater...

My Model S is a December 2013 and just got a new heater core. Last few times before Christmas I drove with the HVAC off. But after Christmas I allowed 2017.50.2 to be installed then the first drive found no heat. The SC remotely confirmed hardware problem so to the "spa" my car went.

On return I had no end of problems controlling the heater from the iOS app. Could turn it on/off but temperature controls were wonky. Then I sat in the car and found the "auto" modes on HVAC were customized. Not sure what all was set other than HI. Reset to auto and normal operation resumed. New heat still smells different.
