It's an Extraterrestrial vehicle, of course it can hover  At least an adjustable suspension would take care of the problem. Smooth out the giant scoops and scallops on the back and it might have a pretty low cd. I think that car was designed for a TV show or something.

I’ve just been playing around inside mspaint  - isn’t the Tesla models S with aero wheels about .25 in cdW

What about this ? should lower air resistant - I know you will have to think twice since we are not use to see cars like this ....but you gain probably more than 20 mils on highway....

will probably require air suspension
You did a better job but I beat you to it: http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/showthread.php/6455-320-mile-wheels?p=93560&viewfull=1#post93560
I also went one step further  : http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/showthread.php/6455-320-mile-wheels?p=93615&viewfull=1#post93615

I thought of a possible solution to the side mirror/camera issue. First you make the side mirrors as small as legally allowed, but you design them such that they can fold in tightly against the vehicle with a good aerodynamic profile. There would be a camera in the outer edge that would be pointed rearwards when the mirrors were folded in. So you get your aerodynamic side mirror cameras with a mirror if the cameras fail for some reason. The mirrors could even be set to unfold automatically if the cameras fail. Testing would be needed to see if there was enough real world difference to make all this worthwhile.
