new hardware coming?

Aroundview monitor should have been included with the hardware changes for autopilot.

It's good that Model S has sonar, but it would be even better to be able to see obstacles around the car, especially when parking.

Guidance lines would also be a big help.

Doesn't it already have a heated steering wheel? they added that last month and cars are being delivered with that already. Regarding Next Gen seats Jerome said they will be available for all models in a few months.

I think it's safe to call this still coming. They're not consistently adding it to all the cars with the sub-zero package yet and it's not on the order page. This is way different than say the way autopilot was rolled out where it was added to the line at a certain point and every car after that had it.

The OP asked about "new hardware." Elon is talking about stuff like an improved screw here and a better way to zip tie a wire bundle there, etc. Better, sure, but no different than what Ford or Toyota do as well.

At one time, Elon said they make 20 hardware changes a week. It's always improving. You can wait forever for the perfect car but the next week they'll have 20 more changes.
