navigation directions to home - recent incorrect changes

Normally Navigation on our Model 3 would give correct street directions to our Home. But recently a strange change has shown up.
What it used to say when driving on large city street (WD Rd) very near home: "At the light turn right onto S Drive, then turn right on H Circle."

Now it says: "At the light turn right to stay on WD Rd, then turn right to stay on WD Rd. "

Note: WD Rd is a busy city street, and the light is at the intersection of it with a small cross street S Drive. S Drive deadends at the 1 mile long H Circle.

I have no idea what has happened here. And how might it get fixed? Was there a recent update to the Tesla mapping software?

Delete your home address and set it again. It could also be the car got a map update and now the directions are different. Map updates are separate from the software updates. You can see your map version under the software section in your car.

Following up on the description I gave of the streets where the mistake occurs, note that the large city street WD Rd just goes straight past the small community where many of us live all along the H Circle. The short piece of S Drive at the intersection and light is the only way to get into/out of H Circle. The vocal directions it gives now to homes on H Circle are stated as if WD Rd went all the way around H Circle. The map on screen correctly shows the street layout and has not changed for a long time. Also, the GPS on the Tesla shows the actual position of the car correctly.
