Hi everyone,
Just took delivery of the new Quicksilver Model Y Performance. Last week I drove the demo and found out they had one Quicksilver in inventory and ordered it right away.
The ride is quiet, controlled, and comfortable. This car is the true definition of “Walk softly and carry a big stick”. The acceleration is truly awe inspiring.
Thank you. I’ve got it scheduled for ceramic coating and PPF on the front end. Hope to achieve this look:Congrats!!.. Wanted this color so bad! . Wish I would have waited.
Good point. That made me to go and take another look at Berlin's version. Looks the same in non flashy scenario.Should be no problem with multiple, overhead spot lights.

Haha! The fangs were just a fun thing for Halloween…that kinda grew on me…so I left them. They started out as vinyl stickers my mom made then I made 3D printed versions. I rarely drive the car - 10K miles in 4.5 years and even less so after buying a Tesla a year ago.Big fan of the ND2/3 Miata. Not sure about the teeth.
Looking through the forum linked below shows many pictures of the Berlin color in different lighting conditionsI saw a Reddit(?) post recently that suggested that the Quicksilver here in the US didn't look the same as the Quicksilver in Berlin.
Saw one on the road today with a Manufacturer license plate. Expected it to be more silver than gray. It was dusty and the color was meh. Could do with a little more of the Silver hue.
I miss my Supra a lot hoping this will help I owned for 22 years 97-2018 had to sell in a hurry to help parents out so took less than I should have bought a volt outright that showed me I loved electric but it is not fast at all now I am waiting on a 2024 MYP in stealth grey with white interior. Have been thinking of looking for smaller wheels 21 just to big for me. ( mine was a 94 red but on side note about low build numbers I missed out on a 93 white hardtop turbo 1 of 8 or 9 only owned by getrag NA 8k miles because was only used for getrag promos and had been warehouse stored. Battery and fuel pump had been replaced original tires were still on it. I was waiting on paycheck so I only offered 48,500 instead of 50 they wanted and I also thought that had me in good for at least a chance to compete another offer which I thought they would not get bc they were not on Supraforums but toyotanation which I happened to be on bc was changing my mom transmission in a Avalon. Anyway I guess someone offered 55 instantly and I missed it. Been searching vin for years finally popped up about 8-12 months ago a pot dealer in Connecticut had died in his ware house with it and a ton of other high end cars including about 6 Supras. He missed his court date for large quantity of marijauna when they looked for him found him dead apparently he bought a old firehouse in his moms name lived above it keep tons of cars inside it…As someone who previously owned a 1998 Toyota Supra TT in Quicksilver (one of 24 ever made in that color) this color looks about exactly what I expected from the pictures I've seen so far.
Off topic: Mine was a '98 Targa TT Quicksilver. I think there were 28 of those made if I recall. It was definitely my dream car and when I had my first solid year I got a Tag Heuer, that Supra and a GMC Typhoon.... my other dream car growing up. Of course, I had posters of Lambos on my bedroom wall too but I'm talking more attainable dream cars at that time.I miss my Supra a lot hoping this will help I owned for 22 years 97-2018 had to sell in a hurry to help parents out so took less than I should have bought a volt outright that showed me I loved electric but it is not fast at all now I am waiting on a 2024 MYP in stealth grey with white interior. Sorry for being off topic but thought another super owner would be interested . Also glad to hear OP poster description of ride and acceleration.
I did want the quicksilver but was young and found a great deal on internet before they were popular. I got my renaissance red 94TT with 16k miles on it for $24,500 got very lucky bc the 97 vette came out and was as low as 40k at introduction so Supra cut price on there last 2 years to keep up they actually did not sell well when new even though all the magazines had it crushing basically everything including the testerossa they made the 512TR testarossa because the Supra was compared to it in British mag and won. I think America was not quite ready for 53k Toyota the Nissan 300zx tt was getting the good press here for a few years prior to Supra introduction.Off topic: Mine was a '98 Targa TT Quicksilver. Back on topic: We got a 2024 MY Stealth Gray/White too but ours is a LR. The 19's was one of the major reasons I opted for that. Plus it's our road trip vehicle and my wife's commuter so the LR just made the most sense. You really can feel the difference in ride quality between the 21's and 19's on these. Not to mention the increased range, decreased tire costs and better all season options, etc.
That said, if Tesla gets crazy on the new MY prices again for EoQ or EoY I'll have a hard time not getting another one. This one would likely replace my P100D (silver/white) so I'd get a Performance and I'd most likely have to go Quicksilver even though I love the new Ultra Red too. I may need to venture down to the local Service Center to see the new Quicksilver in person to see how it stacks up to the Toyota color of the same name from the 90's.
