Model 3 RWD range question

I have been keeping track of my Tesla3 max range during the last 6 months.
Since the energy screen shows more data, I noticed that the PARK mode also consumes energy.
And the DRIVE mode also shows some energy consumed for Standby, Battery preconditioning.
The actual driving energy is therefore reduced.
Does the max range 272 miles as rated by Tesla is actually less due to energy lost above ?

272 miles is rated by an EPA test procedure, not Tesla. The EPA test procedure used does not include parked consumption, standby or battery preconditioning.

It's not clear to me that these aspects should be included in the EPA test procedure either.
