@SkepTeach, the DMV replied back and told me the trade-in and purchase has to be the same transaction to get the sales tax credit. That's what I assumed all along, but it didn't hurt to ask ¯\_(ツ)_/¯@SkepTeach : Tesla replied back that they're only willing to adjust the taxes if I trade in with them, and they only accept trade-ins on the same day as delivery of the new vehicle. Waiting on the DMV.
In Vermont you fill out a form and can get your credit when the sell and purchase are separate. Just an FYI if that is possible there also.@SkepTeach, the DMV replied back and told me the trade-in and purchase has to be the same transaction to get the sales tax credit. Are you in Cali? What's your order date.My Estimate Delivery Date just went from Sept 9 - Oct 14 to Nov 18 - Dec 30 WTF?
I'm in Virginia and I ordered on the 4th of July. Are you in Cali? What's your order date.
Ah ok. I would ignore that update. Its coming back to the original range. No sweat. The cali pickups seem to get moved to EOQ. But you're east coast. No way the average is 9 weeks (excluding @Flatbroke) and you are 24 weeks. Its a glitch.I'm in Virginia and I ordered on the 4th of July.
At that point I'd just want to hold out until the new year to get a 2023 and maybe a tax credit. I guess time will tell.Ah ok. I would ignore that update. Its coming back to the original range. 2023 starts Nov 1 (I believe that is right). M3P is not available for a tax credit. Only M3 standard and all model Ys.At that point I'd just want to hold out until the new year to get a 2023 and maybe a tax credit. I guess time will tell.
We don't know that yet. The specifics of the bill may change before it gets signed into law and Tesla may make certain things ala carte to get the MSRP down below the threshold...M3P is not available for a tax credit. Only M3 standard and all model Ys.
I heard that the manufactured data must be after Nov1 to be a 2023 (not delivery date) but I can't seem to find a clear answer.2023 starts Nov 1 (I believe that is right).
Ordered 7/1 and same EDDDude. Some guy on Reddit replied to a thread and had the EXACT same order as me… M3P, MSM/White, etc. with delivery to Raleigh, NC. He ordered a week after me and already has a VIN.
*sugar* irks me so much. Happy for him for sure, but tesla is annoying lol
Would that make the Y cheaper than 3 with the tax credit?2023 starts Nov 1 (I believe that is right). M3P is not available for a tax credit. Only M3 standard and all model Ys.
The model Y P in red is 69990. After credit, it would be 62490, which is cheaper than the 66000 the red m3p costs.Would that make the Y cheaper than 3 with the tax credit?
It'll get bumped around quite a bit. Dont hold your breath on those dates. My Estimate Delivery Date just went from Sept 9 - Oct 14 to Nov 18 - Dec 30 WTF?
