I'll update. 341 Wh/mile after 5100 and change miles.

The warm really helps to a point. Was easy doing sub 300 on the way to work, but it was 85 and sunny on the way home. So windows down, roof open, cruising on the interstate. Upped 288 on the way in to 341 when I got home.

Well warm weather really helps. But windows down, and panoramic roof open, really hurt. And I am getting very comfortable driving this car around, so cruising speeds are greatly increased.

I will hit 7500 on the way home from work, and am still at 341 Wh/mile.

I think I might start using AC on the interstate. It is way powerful, and much quieter and easier on the power consumption at interstate speeds. So I might drop more during the summer.

Just looking at this thread now... where is it explained how to format the numbers and how to contribute in a meaningful fashion?

The variables we gave been keeping track of are wh/mile as a function battery size, wheel size, and state. If you just post your total miles, wh/mile for those miles, battery size, wheel size and state, I'll add you to the spreadsheet. We'd also like to keep track of wh/mile as a function of temperature or season but that is a bit more work.

... and you'll need to wait for all of test rides and drives to be done with or else the #'s are skewed too!

+ maybe 6 months for driving to mellow out after getting an S (or I'd imagine a Roadster too) but that may be a little short too  maybe 6 years

also depending on where you live, hills or not, freeways or not, traffic or not, the study is useless almost and #'s can vary by more than 25%( just a random guess) for the same type of driver with the same aggressiveness level

That's true! The averages don't tell you exactly what you'll get as an individual driver, but they are a decent indication of what you should expect, given your location, battery size and wheel size, and they are also interesting I think from the point of view of average energy efficiency under a wide range of driving conditions and styles.

How do you record all that?

PITA

OCD? just for my car. every thing else is a mess

#'s come from the dash ...after every single trip! (way harder to do than after every gas tank fill up)

I can tell that the algorithms have changed a bit on v4.5 but I haven't been at 0 yet or full a range charge on 4.5. The resting numbers and after charging seem to be a little different but I think it is for the better.

If I drove like a 'normal driver' at sane speeds always then I think 320-330 Whr/mi should be quite normal for ~65-70 mph freeway travel + city driving in the Bay Area. Although 70 is a bit slow in some places it is also waay fast during traffic hours when you'll be pulling way less power
