interior seat coating

I understand that technology has changed from earlier postings, so I am looking for opinions on seat protection coatings for my new MS.

Are they needed or desirable?
What do you recommend?
Is anyone familiar Opti-Guard Leather & Vinyl coating? I plan to have the exterior treated with opti-coat pro

I doubt any coatings are needed or desirable (except from those selling them). The synthetic leather seating material is designed not to show any visible wear for about 10 times that of what occurs with leather. I would definitely not put anything on the seats that was designed for leather.
