Highland Trunk lid doesn't open all the way

Why does the Highland trunk lid not open all way compare to previous models?

Tesla conducted research and their data and analytics team was able to observe that people only opened up their trunks 3/4 of the way. In a cost cutting effort they now utilize hinges that open the trunk 3/4 of the way saving them 1/4 of money. The money saved is being put back into researching other cost saving measures. Rumor has it the 2025 trunk lid will open at 50% of the original height.

The 2028 “mail slit” trunk opening feature is being put through early testing as we speak.
