Hey all (or “y’all” for those in the South),

After 11,000km on my Model Y I got a big scrape on the passenger rear wheel well.

I have a very tight, 100 year old driveway, and scraped the crap out of the black plastic above the tire.

Is there any way to fix this without replacing the part?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Hey did you by chance ever figure out a fix for this? I have a similar issue I'm dealing with. Thanks!
For something that big I’d just replace the trim. It’s not hard to do but an alternative is getting some regular matte plasti dip, not any of the fancy hyper dip kinds, and use that. On my old CX-5 a piece of a tire hit the front bumper and scuffed up the black cladding and I didn’t want to get a whole new bumper. A few light overlapping sprays to blend the area with the rest of the bumper fixed the issue

You could try Novus #2 and if that doesn't work, #3 plastic polish.

You could also try an old toothbrush and toothpaste. Try an inconspicuous spot first but I highly doubt you'll make it worse.

Good luck!
