Trip display on the dash looks like a better mix of information. And overall, a much more modern look. I really hope we get some huge improvements on the media player app. TuneIn is really broken. Favorites/playlist functionality is lacking.

Firmware 7.0

Alright, given that we've seen unconfirmed reports of Firmware 7.0 in the wild from a supposed NON early-access (Tesla's Beta testers program) customer in Norway, I figured it was time to start a 7.0 sticky. Here's the link to his (or her) FaceBook post:

Here are the photos we have so far from 7.0:

Please feel free to add other photos of 7.0 from other sources, and of course, post if you get 7.0 over the air!!

A fake analog clock, seriously?! :)

So the power indicator is now optional and takes up one of the side panels? It looks like in general the instrument cluster is a lot skimpier on information than currently. Not sure I like that.

I'm trying very hard to suspend judgement until I can see the whole thing myself.

But if you have to have the energy graph wasting half of the display just to see the power meter I will be deeply unimpressed.

This is very unTesla like. No big hoopla?

Exactly the same thing happened with 6.1 - it just quietly arrived one day, despite arguably being the most feature packed release ever (reversing lines, trip energy predictor, shuffle and repeat, gps aware suspension, etc etc). Someone has to get it first!
