I just upgraded the charger(s) in my car. I wanted to see where I could get refueled, if not 'super', then at least 'fast', or 10 kW or faster. I was surprised that in the set of Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas, Texas outranks them all, having a slight majority of the faster WC. It has improved over the 3 + years of my ownership but it is still a problem.

The latest misadventure I had was with the parking garage near Hobby airport. They advertised plugs for EV's if you parked there and I called to verify the plug and was promised access to a plug. When I got there they had no idea if they had any plugs. Ended up having to use the valet area which had a single normal plug. I got it plugged in and charging at 3-4 miles/hr which was fine since I was flying out for 4 days. 12 hours later I get an alert on the app that charging has stopped. I called them and they couldn't figure it out. Very annoying!

Luckily I had just enough juice to get back to College Station. Destination charging is still in it's infancy sadly.

It's not barely, it's 20% more. Or course this only matters if the car has a charger >40A (current ones or the earlier Teslas with dual chargers).

Another good thing about the 48A Fredericksburg chargers is they're on 240V circuits, not the usual 208V for commercial locations.[/QUOTE]

@KidDoc , website is using a generic photo from (probably) one of their other airports. The chargers at Hobby are definitely outside. It was a bear finding the charger at Bush International Terminal C... just really hard to hunt down, especially under some time pressure.

I just used the Blink charging at IAH Terminal C. Three spaces: 1 occupied by a Tesla that wasn't charging and the second occupied by a non-EV vehicle. Fortunately there were 3 spaces but annoying...
