Driver Door Klonk

Hello All,
It's now been 3 months and a few thousand miles with our new MX and love it, except one thing: When closing the driver door (either with a button or brake pedal), the door makes an awful "Klonk" before the snugging "Pfft". The passenger door does not do that, it just closes-pfft-closed. We tried to adjust the striker in the jamb thinking that the door hits it too high (which it slightly did), but even after adjusting it just "Klonks". Anybody else have this problem??

Just a stupid idea, have you checked the attachment screws in the front of the door? Some were loose on my car.

You mean the hinge bolts? They seem pretty tight. Thank you for the thought though.
Maybe there's something wrong with the lock itself. I'll investigate over the weekend.
